Kelly Prescott hails from two musically renowned family
lines which spans three generations that hail from
Northern Ontario, Nova Scotia and the Ottawa Valley. She
has inherited the foundation to follow her musical heart,
drawing inspiration from her deep Canadian roots.
Imbued with experiences gleaned from growing up in an
award winning studio, she has hit the ground running in
pursuit of her own musical expression.
In 2011, she joined forces with Anders Drerup and Adam
Puddington to form Ottawa Valley supergroup, The
Claytones (adding Pat McLaughlin in 2013.)
They've released two full length albums and were
recipients of the Galaxie Rising Star award at the Ottawa
Folk Festival in 2013.
They've been a part of the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train
3 1/2 week tour through November and December, playing
70 shows across parts of Canada and the U.S. The Train
continues to raise food, money and awareness for food
banks across North America.
At age of 19, Kelly was awarded a gold record for her work
on the Holiday Train album. To date, the train has raised
$9.5 million and 3.3 million pounds of food.
Kelly is looking forward to releasing her second solo
album, "Hillbilly Jewels" in the New Year.
